P7 is all set to touch new heights

Pearls Broadcasting Corporation Pvt Ltd. is all gearing up to make a big mark in the Indian media world with its recently launched Hindi news network P7. Launched on March 27th in the Delhi, P7 entered to the screens of metropolitan city Mumbai on September 23rd.
Pearls has invested approximately Rs 400 million in P7 News. To commence the Mumbai operations and provide with an efficient distribution platform for its news channel, the company has funded around Rs 50 million to tie up with the cable networks in the Mumbai region and around Rs 80 million overall.
P7 has done tie-ups with some major cable networks Incablenet, Hathway Cable & Datacom, Scod18 and Wire & Wireless India Ltd (WWIL). The channel is available on Essel Group’s direct-to-home (DTH) company
Dish TV and DD Direct Plus.
Pearls is looking to create a high-definition-ready news operation using its Broadcast MediaLibrary/MediaClient (BML/MCL) digital video platform in India. For the purpose, it has selected SeaChange Video Servers for their News Channel - P7 News. SeaChange International is the video-on-demand, IPTV, broadcast and advertising systems leader.
The channel has become increasing popular among the Hindi speaking belt Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat and Delhi. The channel is already available in other Hindi speaking markets. The channel has spent around Rs 80 million on distribution. P7 is available in the states including Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat and has signed a deal with Gujarat Telelink Private Ltd (GTPL).
The channel has a staff count of 375 across 11 bureaus. The channel has six OB-vans for news gathering and an association with 600 stringers across the nation for news. Within six months of launch, the channel has roped in advertisers like Coca-Cola, Bata, and Morepen apart from a clutch of real estate companies.
The major focus remains on the variation in the content it would offer to its viewers. P 7 covers various programmes such as Stylista, Health Care, Grahon ki shatranj, Real estate, Bindia, Kaida Kanoon, and Speed. The channel provides an entire spectrum of emotions to their viewer that is well captured in its tagline – ‘Ek Umeed’ (A ray of Hope).
Pearls Group has a wide array of business interests spanning real estate,
tourism, TV & film production and print publication.
