P7 News Channel is the official media partner of FIH World Cup Tournament-2010. The Tournament has started from 28th February and will go on till 13th March 2010 at Dhyan Chand National Stadium, New Delhi, India. The 2010 World Cup will be the 12th installment of the tournament and the second to be held in India.
Pearls Broadcasting Corporation Ltd. will host stalls at the National stadium; P7 News Channel will have the privilege to interview the worldwide hockey stars be it on the National stadium ground or their green room or at the Le Meridian Hotel where the players are staying during the period. Every on and off ground exclusive stories related to hockey players will be telecasted regularly on P7 News Channel.

The 12 teams of Hockey are split into two groups –Pool A and Pool B and will play each side in their group once before the classification matches take place. The teams as follows in Pool A: Argentina, Canada, Germany, Korea, Netherlands, and New Zealand and Pool B: Australia, England, India, Pakistan, South Africa, Spain. The series of games started at 10.30 am on 28th February 2010.
Hockey enthusiasts across India were thrilled to immediately witness one of the most eagerly awaited matches when host India faced Pakistan at the beginning of the Hockey event and won the match.
Germany is the current holder and a win in New Delhi will see them become the first to win the trophy for the third consecutive time. England’s defender Ali Wilson is very confident about his team and targets the World Cup glory. India has also pulled up their socks and has geared up to give a power packed performance. Prabhjot Singh, the Indian striker from Punjab is very excited about his team and aiming the World Cup.
