P7 in support of Women with Suneet Varma


India has been endowed with some of the most beautiful women in the world who are excelling in the various walks of life’s. But, it is the idea of becoming ‘Miss India’ that breaks all boundaries. And with this dream P7 News Channel and Etasha Society presented a fashion show by Suneet Varma showcasing his ‘Resort Collection’. The aim is to help young people make right choices at the right time and enable them to lead successful and healthy lives.
Suneet Varma’s Resort Collection was presented at The Grand, Vasant Kunj on 20th March’10 titled ‘I Believe I Can’. The event was different from other fashion shows in the sense it showcased the story of an ordinary girl who goes on to become Miss India. It shows how she was given training and guidance which helped her to fulfill her dream.
Former Miss India Ms. Ekta Chaudhury played the role of a poor girl in the show. Trainees of Etasha society were also part of the show. They performed the show’s inspiring theme, I Believe I Can, which illustrated their NGO’s work. Featured models including Femina Miss India Ekta Chaudhury, Esther Jamir, Ritu Singh, Shabnam Sultana, Sahiba Singh, Sakshi Bindra, Adriyana, Binita Borah, Olesheya, Adriyene, Tamara, Lolita, Vivene and Xsenia walked the ramp.
The emcee of the show was the famous model Ramneek Pantal and celebrities like Sushma Seth, Bharti Taneja, were amongst a few to grace the occasion.
“I have been part of countless shows, but this one has been as different as it had a social message attached, it is featured uniquely and also stretches my creativity. I have thoroughly enjoyed working on this project and I am confident that people will love the Resort Collections,” said Suneet Varma after presenting the fabulous resort collection.
"We have always believed in supporting causes that helps women. If you look at our channel’s logo even that says ‘Ek Umeed’, which means ‘a ray of hope’ and this programme also comes as a ray of hope to many aspiring girls. P7 is very happy and proud after presenting this show,” said Mr Jyoti Narain, Director, P7 News Channel.
The show was organized in support of the Etasha society that works for the training of youths. The vision is that every young Indian should be employable, have self worth and lead a dignified and productive life.
